Klemm Adam

He was born in Novi Sad in 1976. He finished post-graduate study of saxophone in Graz, Austria.

From 1994 to 1996 he worked as an associate member of the RTS Novi Sad Dance Orchestra. From 1996 to 1998 he was a member of the Stomp jazz quartet. Since 1999 he has led his own ensemble, the Adam Klemm Quartet. The Adam Klemm ensemble had noticeable performances in 1997, at the Jazz Time Fest, than at the Novi Sad Jazz Festival. He has recorded for RTV Novi Sad and the Austrian ORF. In the year 2000 he performed with the Stomp quartet at the Budapest Youth Jazz Festival, and in 2001 the Adam Klemm Quartet played in Pula and other towns in Istra, Croatia.

He received a scholarship from the Austrian Ministry for Culture and attended the Sebelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. He was taught by Jari Perkiomäki, Manuel Dunkel and Eero Koivistoinen. After returning from Finland, he started playing in the band led by the legend of the Austrian jazz scene, guitarist Karl Ratzer and young Slovakian composer, Erik Rothenstein.
