Born in Banja Luka in 1970.
After leaving Banja Luka at the age of three, Dejan Terzic became one of the very few young musicians in Germany, whose presence significantly changed the jazz scene in the last ten years.
After studying in Germany and the US he had his first professional engagements in Bavarian jazz orchestra Bavarian First Herd led by Dusko Gojkovic, followed by other engagements and many awards. He made several CD’s, and his first CD as a leader was voted by Dublin Times among top ten jazz albums in 1999. He is a full-time member of Antonio Farao Trio, Franco Ambrosetti’s ensemble, and famous Dusko Gojkovic Quintet. He successfully led Sunday Night Orchestra big band.
Three years ago he formed European Assembly consisting of Jens Winther – trumpet; Tony Lakatos – saxophone; Antonio Farao – piano; and Martin Gjakonovski – bass. His European Assembly is regarded as an eclectic formation of top musicians with one aim: to play exciting and challenging music that stimulates both body and spirit.
Dejan Terzic is the one of the most sought-after musicians on the European jazz scene.
