FIRST ALBUM OF SONEMUS ENSEMBLE RELEASED

Sonemus: Spatial Intersections is a new album released by Gramofon, a record company from Sarajevo .
What we have here is the first CD of SONEMUS ensemble, formed in 2001 aiming to promote contemporary artistic music – new music. The album contains eight compositions by Luciano Beri, Felix Baumann, Aliser Sijaric, Elliot Carter, Brian Ferneyhough and Darija Andovska. Regular members of the ensemble SONEMUS who feature on this album, are Julija Gubaidullina – piano, Boris Previsic – flute, Violeta Smajlovic-Huart – violin and Vedran Tuce – clarinet. There is a number of guest appearances on Sonemus’ debut, namely the following artists from Switzerland : a clarinetist Ernesto Molinari and a cellist Martina Schucan.
This year, the ensemble SONEMUS received Davorin Music Award for their achievements in the field of classical music.
