Eighteen-year-old guitar player from Tuzla, Sanel Redžić, won the first prize at the international competition for young guitarists held in Szeged, Hungary, from 22 to 25 March.
The competition was for guitarists under twenty years of age. At this prestigious European competition, Sanel’s half an hour long programme demonstrated his extraordinary technique, musicality and exceptional talent for interpretation and he was awarded with the first prize by the jury, that is to say a concert guitar by the Greek luthier Vassilis Vasileiadis and two concerts in Hungary in the following year. The first performance by this Bosnian guitar player will be at the Szeged International Guitar Festival and the second performance at the Marble Hall, one of the greatest concert halls in Budapest. The concert will be broadcast live on the Hungarian National Radio.
